Man United interested in signing prolific midfielder – Club want ‘no less than €60m’ for summer deal

Man Utd Breaking News

Manchester United has expressed ‘strong interest’ in the RB Leipzig star midfielder, but will have to pay at least €60 million to sign him.

That is according to Sky Sports Germany, who also claim that the attacking midfielder’s current deal does not have a release clause.

This season, He has been the star of the show for the German club, scoring 23 goals and adding 13 assists in 35 games across all competitions.

Since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, he’s scored 35 goals and added 40 assists in 119 appearances, putting up stats that haven’t gone ignored across Europe.

Manchester United are said to be big fans of the midfielder, and rumours of a summer transfer have been circulating in recent months, especially after Ralf Rangnick took over as interim manager.

It was rumoured earlier this month that they would have to spend up to €75 million to gain his signature, but Sky insists this is not the case.

According to reports, Manchester United is one of the clubs’showing tremendous interest’ in Nkunku right now as a result of his ‘excellent’ performances ‘on the big stage.’

A transfer could happen this summer, and if someone steps forward, Leipzig will profit handsomely.

They paid €13 million for Nkunku at the time, which was a “reasonable market price” at the time and an investment that has “not just paid off in sports terms.”

Nkunku might be sold this summer for ‘no less than €60 million,’ but his value is’steadily increasing’ as he continues to impress on the pitch.

The fact that Nkunku’s current contract does not expire until 2024 and does not feature a release provision puts Leipzig in a strong negotiating position with interested parties.

It’s unclear whether Manchester United will offer €60 million, although that price has fluctuated between €55 million and €75 million. That indicates Leipzig has yet to make a final decision, which they will most likely defer until the auction for Nkunku begins.
