Real Madrid To Offer Up To €40 Million To Sign 19-year-old Dutch Sensation

Florentino Pérez

Real Madrid is apparently willing to pay up to €40 million for the services of the 19-year-old Dutch sensation.

According to famous Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Real Madrid and Mino Raiola have continued to discuss a potential summer deal for the Dutch phenomenon. The Spanish giants are willing to spend up to €40 million for the 19-year-old Ajax sensation, including add-ons.

He joined Ajax as an eight-year-old in 2010 and rose quickly through the ranks of the club’s illustrious academy. In 2018, the young sensation broke into the first-team squad of the Dutch giants and has since established himself as a vital player at the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

To far, the 19-year-old has made 86 appearances for Ajax, scoring ten goals and assisting ten times. Gravenberch’s time at the Dutch club, though, could come to an end in the summer. That’s because, with his present contract set to expire in June 2023, he’s apparently unwilling to sign a new one. Real Madrid has taken notice of such an occurrence.

Real Madrid’s desire is natural, given that Luka Modric is nearing the end of his brilliant career. Furthermore, Toni Kroos is in his late thirties and will most likely be phased out of the first-team picture in a few years.

The talks between Real Madrid and Raiola are progressing well, according to Rudy Galetti. And, according to the reputable Italian writer, the Spanish giants will be willing to pay between €35 million and €40 million, including add-ons, to obtain Gravenberch’s services for the summer.

The 19-year-old prodigy is set to reach the final year of his Ajax contract this summer. Real Madrid may be able to entice Gravenberch away from the Dutch giants with a bid of roughly €40 million. It remains to be seen whether a transfer will take place before the 2022/23 season.
