If the Bavarians manage to secure a 3-1 victory—and they appear eager to do so during the last minutes in Turkey—then the Group A standings will resemble the one below, with Manchester United virtually locked in a three-way race for second place.
United has previously faced Copenhagen three times. Two of the matches were in the 2006–07 Champions League groups. In one of those games, they won 3-0 at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Paul Scholes, John O’Shea, and Kieran Richardson. In the other, the Danes prevailed thanks to a goal from Marcus Allbäck.
