Watch: Lisandro Martínez Scores Amazing Goal Against Arsenal

Wan-Bissaka gets blindsided there. One of the United analysts yelled ‘get up, Aaron’ when the corner was taken and he didn’t get up there. Manchester United brought that on themselves with needlessly trying to play out from their own third. De Gea is not a good enough ‘keeper to do it and Wan-Bissaka is not the right-back you want on the ball in those phases. Nketiah’s eyes are lighting up like floodlights whenever the ball is with De Gea.

Arsenal fans responded confidently to going 1-0 down, standing up and encouraging the team. United weren’t switched on enough after Rashford’s goal. The quality of Rashford’s skill and strike will take the headlines for that goal but his role in winning the ball back should be commended as well.

It was a loose pass from Partey but he was under pressure because Shaw had just pressed and got a foot in and Rashford had closed the angle for the pass. It was a vital goal, but it has felt like a response has been coming. Both sides have been very good in the first quarter of the game and both deserve a goal.

Marcus Rashford has denuded Partey there. He was still in a position of security to make amends for th sloppy pass but as soon as Rashford danced past him the gap was there and he nailed the strike. The execution was Ronaldo like, dipping past Ramsdale.

Manchester United have managed the game creditably in the first 20 minutes. They’ve been under the cosh a couple of times but, as stated earlier, they have ample quality to harm Arsenal and the Martinez line-breaker earlier was an early sighter.
