City high line with no pressure on the ball, Lyon tried to play Depay through on goal who was offside…but he let the ball run through his legs and Dembele who was onside ran through and slipped the ball under Ederson.
That was much more like City. A curled pass over the top found Sterling down the left hand side, he pulled the ball back into the path of De Bruyne just left of the penalty spot. The Belgian opened his right foot and guided the ball into the far corner. Will that break Lyon’s resistance?
